Just some sharing about what is actually life as a foundation student in Unversity Of Malaya. Although I had just been there for 4 months, there are a lot new experience I got. I do not want t talk about my experience there but some information about what is Pusat Asasi Sains University Malaya or well known as PASUM.
Well, UM is the oldest university in Malaysia and Pasum was being established in 1977. There are three main courses in PASUM that are Biological Science, Physical Science and Built Environment program. Actually there is one more that is for preparation students that will pursue their degree to Japan.
The schedule there is really packed because students have to attend class from 8 a.m to 5 p.m from Monday to Friday. In the whole week, students have to be in lecture class, tutorial classs, and lab for practical. Students have to give full commitment to be excellent.
For Biological Science Foundation, lecture class will be divided in two groups A and B based on the English test that students must sit during orientation week.In this course, students must take 6 subjects.
- Chemistry 1
- Chemistry 2
- Biology 1
- Biology 2
- Physics 1
- Physics 2
- Algebraic
- Calculus
- English
So though right? But it is okay as long as you always study and perform well. Just focus in class and doing all the tutorial. You will success.
There some things that I think special in PASUM.
* Students here do not have to participate in co-curriculum activity. Yeay. That is the most part that I loved.
* Lecturers here is fantastic
* This place is really near to Mid Valley
( haha)
* Orientation week here is superb with sporting facilitators.
Here some pictures of me when I was students there.
